SOLO
Single-position system for one filter cartridge — compact and economical.
Liquid-solid separation & air filtration — each system is custom-designed based on your operating data, material, and safety requirements (PED, AD 2000, DIN EN 13445, ATEX, TA Luft, FDA/EC).
SOLO, DUPLEX & MULTIPLEX — Bag filter housings in three configuration levels. The bag filter housings are based on four sizes (00, 0, 1, and 2), which can be customized to customer requirements.
For applications where vessels approved under 'sound engineering practice' (Art. 4, Para. 3 PED) are sufficient — typically at lower filtration capacities and operating pressures, and with 'non-hazardous' Fluid Group 2 filtrates used in cleaning, water treatment, and food applications. Design-relevant details:
Conformity assessment in accordance with the applicable required modules; safety requirements in accordance with the AD 2000 Code.
For the most demanding application-specific requirements, customizable to individual customer needs:
SOLO, DUPLEX & MULTIPLEX in LIGHT-, STANDARD- and EXTRA-LINE — from the ECO version ("Sound Engineering Practice") through to CE-marked Category IV.
Single-position system for one filter cartridge — compact and economical.
Two (or more) hard-piped cartridge filters — optionally with manual or automatic change-over for continuous operation.
A single vessel unit with a common closure, in which two or many more filter cartridges are combined depending on the filtration capacity.
When the STANDARD-LINE is not enough: higher throughput and output, an extended range of materials (Hastelloy, titanium, carbon steel, plastics), coatings (HALAR®, ETFE, FEP, PFA, PTFE, PU), heating jacket, filter trolleys for mobile use, as well as explosion protection in accordance with ATEX, TA Luft compliance and FDA/EC conformity.
Robust systems for high flow rates and coarse separation — in the same three configuration levels: LIGHT-LINE, STANDARD-LINE and EXTRA-LINE (up to 100 bar / 400 °C, all PED categories).
ECO version in accordance with “sound engineering practice” (Art. 4(3) PED) — up to 10 bar / 80 °C.
All-rounder for all applications and approvals — up to 16 bar / 150 °C, categories I–IV.
Premium options for maximum performance — up to 100 bar / 400 °C, special materials and coatings.
Specialized tasks and projects with the highest application-specific requirements are developed and implemented within the SPECIAL-LINE — including combinations of different technologies.
Up to 6 bar gauge operating pressure, can be heated (vessel jacket + thermostat), mobile on a filter trolley. Typical applications in pharmaceuticals & chemicals: activated carbon filtration, separation of filter aids and salts, catalyst filtration, clarification, sterile filtration, valuable material filtration, and API recovery.
For maximum performance and specific application requirements — continuous filtration even for high-viscosity media.
Self-cleaning systems for continuous operation — the filter elements are automatically backwashed without interrupting the process.
Bags, roll goods, and custom cuts — standard or bespoke, available with FDA/EC compliance for food and cosmetics upon request.
Polyester, polypropylene & Nylon™ (NMO). The heat-welded monofilament mesh enables surface filtration with an absolute retention rating at a precisely defined pore size.
Polyester, polypropylene & aramid (NOMEX®) — depth filtration with high dirt-holding capacity, also available in XL versions (PEXL/POXL).
Cotton, fiberglass, PTFE (Teflon™) and others — plus mesh bags and filter fabrics supplied in rolls or cut to size.
In 'EXTRA' versions, standard specifications (e.g. length, diameter) can be customized — we accommodate individual, application-specific requirements in consultation with you.
Six designs for every filtration rating and resistance requirement — installed individually or in multiples in candle filter housings.
Porous activated carbon block with PP pre-filter and support structure — also FDA/EC-compliant. The filtrate flows from the outside through the activated carbon element and is discharged via the inner support core.
Depth filtration (nominal & absolute) with thermally bonded microfibers made of polypropylene or polyamide — with or without a support core, FDA-compliant.
Absolute filter cartridges for fine filtration made of PES, PTFE or PA with a polypropylene support core — in accordance with FDA requirements.
Surface filters made of metal (composite) mesh (stainless steels) with very high resistance to heat and chemicals.
Depth filter elements made of pleated polypropylene microfibers — high dirt-holding capacity, FDA/EC compliance.
Depth filtration with yarns made of polypropylene, cotton or glass fiber and support cores made of polypropylene or stainless steel.
Strainer baskets, support baskets, wedge wire screens, filter discs, cone strainers, insert strainers and more — for the surface filtration of liquid and gaseous media.
Strainer and support baskets made of stainless steel, carbon steel & plastic — various sizes, filter ratings, hole diameters and pitches.
Filter discs, fluidizing cones & mushrooms, top-hat strainers, dirt traps, wedge wire screens & insert strainers.
Metal filter mesh for surface filtration — flat or pleated, single- or multi-layer. Composite meshes combine different wire meshes over the entire surface to create robust fine filter media.
Key advantages of metal filter meshes — particularly those made of (stainless) steel — include very high heat resistance and structural strength.
Coarse dust, fine dust and HEPA filters — standard or custom-made, fabricated or supplied as roll media, FDA/EC-compliant on request.
Pocket filters, filter sleeves, dust bags and filter mats for the separation of coarse particles.
Fine dust pocket filters and cells in various filter classes, sizes and materials.
Highest separation efficiencies for protected applications and clean process air.
Butterfly valves, adapters, eyebolts, ball valves, pressure gauges, clamps, drip trays, valves and centering screws for Schoneweg filter systems.
Ensure correct installation and seating of the filter bag or sleeve and prevent the bag from "fluttering" and potentially bursting due to uncontrolled back pressure.
When rapid assistance is needed — for instance, when production downtime is imminent — we provide a suitable filter system as a temporary solution by arrangement.
Inserted into the filter bag during filtration to capture magnetic particles such as swarf or fine dust before they accumulate on the filter medium.
Application-specific seals made of E-CTFE (Halar™), ETFE, FEP (FEP-Teflon™), PTFE (PTFE-Teflon™), PVDF, EPDM, FPM/FKM (Viton™), NBR and silicone rubber.
Displacers in the filter bag reduce the amount of residual filtrate — making bag changes significantly easier.
